I'm a Ph.D student at the AirLab, where I work for the EU ETN project ReMaRo (Reliable AI for Marine Robotics). Within this project, I will work in the development of algorithms for vision-based navigation for underwater safety critical applications. For that, I will make use of camera-based Deep Learning algorithms to aid navigation of underwater vehicles.
Before joining the AirLab, I studied Electronics Engineering at the University of Oviedo, and afterwards a Master in Robotics and Automation in the University Carlos III of Madrid. Also in Madrid I've been working as a researcher assistant in the RFCS project STAMS. My main research interests are deep learning and computer vision, which I hope to continue developing here at Aarhus.
