Profile

As a Postdoc, I am particularly interested in MRI and the handling of MR data. My work primarily involves the reconstruction, processing, and analysis of MR data, including both preclinical and clinical studies using hyperpolarized 13C, 2H, and conventional proton MRI. In addition, I also spend time teaching, supervising junior students, and writing grant applications. I hold a Master’s degree in Nanoscience with a specialization in Biophysics and have a research background in NMR and MR technology. My experience includes the development of specialized microcoil systems, modeling of metabolic processes in hyperpolarized MR data, and the use of 2H-labeled glucose to study brain metabolism in Alzheimer’s disease.

Research

Research primarily within the development of NMR/MR-based technology for use in metabolic imaging and profiling. This includes, among other things, sequence development, setup of processing pipelines, and design of new coil configurations. These aspects contribute to advancing research in oncology and neurology.

Job responsibilities

My primary area of responsibility is the processing and analysis of MR data, including image reconstruction, development of analysis tools, and implementation of pipelines for preclinical and clinical studies using hyperpolarized 13C, 2H, and proton MRI. I also work with teaching, student supervision, grant applications, as well as the development and testing of experimental MR setups, including specialized microcoil systems and metabolic modeling.
