Personal profile

Research

I study neurodegenerative disease with a focus on biomarkers in Lewy body and Alzheimer's disease. Using biomarkers I aim to understand the impact of Alzheimer co-pathology in persons with Lewy body disease and the early detection of these disorders using blood-based biomakers. My research contributes to more timely and accurate detection of disease that cause dementia.

Profile

I am Associate Professor of dementia research and a medical doctor enrolled in the neurology specialization program. My work focuses on neurodegenerative disorders and biomarkers related to dementia. Previously I worked in clinical psychiatry and psychiatric epidemiology.

Cooperation and dissemination

I collaborate with national and international researchers in biochemistry and neuroimaging on projects in dementia. The purpose is to gain a better understanding of biomarkers.

Teaching

I have taught about dementia disorders in the psychiatry specialization program and contributed to books and book chapters on dementia disorders.
