Severe stenosis of a renal artery may result in renovascular hypertension associated with shrinkage and poor function of the affected kidney. In such cases percutaneous renal artery revascularisation can be technical difficult. We describe three cases of uncomplicated laparoscopic nephrectomy of renin-producing small kidneys with postoperative improvement in blood pressure regulation.
