Research

Associate Professor Morten Brænder holds a Master's degree in the History of Ideas and Comparative Religion and a Ph.D. in Political Science. He is the head of the Center for University Studies in Journalism.
His primary research areas include military sociology, motivation and leadership, and the relationship between religion and politics. In this context, he has led the research project 'New Education, New Values?', in which, in collaboration with the Danish Defence College, he has examined the significance of the reform of Danish officer training programs

Teaching

Morten Brænder has coordinated and taught courses for bachelor's, master's, and Ph.D. students at the Department of Political Science. Here, he has taught subjects such as methodology, political theory, and public administration. He has supervised numerous theses and master's projects and has served as a co-supervisor for Ph.D. students. As an external lecturer, assistant professor, and associate professor, he has also taught at teacher training programs, at the Department of Business Communication, and in the master's program in Diaconia.
