Research interests

Research drawing on curriculum theory, education policy theory, education evaluation theory. Focus on exploring different understandings on purposes and values in schooling, pedagogical-didactical issues related to political formation, participation, wellbeing, learning, collaboration between school and local community, and evaluation of teaching and learning. More specifically: Concepts and policies on professional competencies in school health promotion; pupils' learning outcomes in health promoting projects, the use of the action competence concept in development of education for sustainable development, wellbeing concepts and the use of wellbeing measurements and national tests as a part of evaluation and quality assurance in schools.
