My main research interest is microbial communities and their interaction with plants. The focus is on plant health and how this is affected by the phyllosphere, rhizosphere and soil microbiome. A core technology in this work is next generation sequencing.
My interests also include development of molecular assays for diagnosis, detection and monitoring of plant pathogens in support of plant health.
