Research interest
My general research interest are ruminant digestion and nutrition physiology. My special focus areas are digestion and absorptive processes, liver metabolism and interorgan transfer of nutrients in the transition cow.
Current research
Feeding strategies for transition cows. The research covers intermediary metabolism of nutrients in transition cows under glucogenic and ketogenic feeding strategies.
Former research
Starch digestion in dairy cows and effects on intermediary metabolism of glucose and amino acids.
PhD thesis
Endogenous amino acid secretion and small intestinal reabsorption in cattle (MSc project).
