Personal profile

Research

In my research I focus on consequences and possibilities for marginalized and socially vulnerable citizens in increasingly digitalized societies.

Commissioned

I am currently involved in counselling the development of a digital hotline at Save the Children for young people with worrying sexual thoughts and/or behaviours.

I also provide research assistance to early scholars looking to investigate online adverse environments.

Cooperation and dissemination

My early research featured a partnership with the NGO Save the Children, Denmark, and Mental Health Services in the Capital Region of Denmark, with whom I collaborated to develop and strenghten their preventive efforts. Through my reseach I have been able to help integrate user perspectives from marginalized groups to help qualify different types of help and to educate teachers, mental health professionals, and politicians alike.

In my current research I collaborate with SHAPE and VIA University College to investigate how Danish social workers' increased datawork affect both their generel professionals skills as well as citizens' well-being and rights. I also collaborate with a Nordic network of researchers investigating matters of child sexual abuse offending and prevention in Nordic countries.

Teaching

I am an Anthropologist by training, specialized in matters of early preventive efforts and help seeking behaviours. In my Ph.D at Digital Design and Information studies at Aarhus Univeristy, I added to this a particular focus on digital technologies' influence in said matters.
