Personal profile

Research

In the context of climate-smart agriculture, my current research is dedicated to improving crop performance and reducing environmental impacts within agricultural ecosystems, such as perennial and diversified rotation systems. My primary focus areas during my PhD include:

· Biomass Yield and Stability: Enhancing the productivity and resilience of different cropping systems

· Carbon and Nitrogen Cycles: Investigating carbon stocks, greenhouse gas emissions (e.g., nitrous oxide), and nitrogen leaching.

I approach these topics through the lens of soil microbiology and extracellular enzymes, utilizing a combination of field studies, laboratory experiments, and next-generation sequencing. Future directions include integrating isotope techniques and meta-analysis to deepen our understanding.
