Personal profile

Profile

I am a tenure track assistant professor in the Design and Construction section. In spring 2021, I served as acting head of our BSc degree program. My research employs material and assembly aware design strategies, as well as digital design and fabrication, for the development of innovative and circular timber structures. Of particular interest are digital and data-driven methods as well as robotic processes for the upcycling of wood waste. Working within the framework of tectonics allows the inclusion of architectural aspects in the development of building structures and components. I am currently leading the research project TræVis XR, which investigates the potential of implementing Extended Reality in the education of carpenters at AARHUS TECH.
