Research

I have worked with lymphomas in both my clinical and scientific work for more than 15 years. My focus is on peripheral T-cell lymphomas (PTCL) and primary CNS lymphomas (PCNSL). The aim om my research is to contribute to a better understanding of the underlying biology and treatment of these diseases. I pursue a better understanding of the biology of lymphomas to identify the best ways and treatments to the benefit of patients.

Profile

As a medical doctor and clinical associate professor at Aarhus University Hospital, I am particularly interested in research regarding lymphomas. I am particularly interested in biology, understanding and treatment of T-cell lymphomas and CNS lymphomas. I am a specialist in internal medicine and hematology and have throughout my career conducted clinical research in lymphoma.

Commissioned

Based on my research in lymphoma, I advise both doctors, researchers and authorities in relation to projects and treatments in lymphoma.

Cooperation and dissemination

I collaborate with doctors in a wide range of clinical specialties such as hematology, pathology, nuclear medicine, infectious medicine, statistics, etc. on various research projects. In addition, I collaborate with researchers at various universities in both Denmark and abroad.

Teaching

I teach internal medicine and haematrology at the medical school.

Job responsibilities

My primary responsibility in research is regarding T-cell and CNS lymphomas but I also contribute to supervision, teaching and education at both AU and AUH.
