My group focuses on modelling human disease with a special interest on cancer by using CRISPR technology in vivo. The CRISPR technology enables us to modify candidate genes in context with other mutations in vivo and hereby address the relevance of each gene in the complexity of a tumour environment. We use conversional methods to analyse the tumours in combination with complex methods as PET scanning and bioinformatics. Simultaneously we are optimising the delivery of guide RNA’s in vivo to increase the efficiency and specificity to improve the models.
We are working with both mice and mini pigs in the group and we collaborate with many groups at Aarhus University and internationally. We are continuously looking for new motivated candidates to join the group and our existing research.
