My research broadly deals with the interfaces of temporality, materiality and nothingness in relation to marginal groups and marginal objects. Among other thing, this has concerned subcultures, youth, nihilism, boredom and organized crime in Georgia. Currently, my research mainly centers around coastal infrastructures, emptiness, waste, decay and demolition, with ongoing fieldworks on the Dalmatian coastline in Croatia and along the Danish West Coast.
