Associate Professor

Marcia Dutra de Barcellos is Visiting Professor at Aarhus University, Department of Management, MAPP Centre – Research on Value Creation in the Food Sector for Consumers, Industry and Society.

 

Research areas

Food Marketing, Sustainable Supply Chains, Global Value Chains, Consumer Behaviour, Cross-Cultural Research, Food Innovation, Eco-innovation and Product Development.

 

Academic and practical experience

Marcia Dutra de Barcellos is Associate Professor at the Postgraduate Programme in Management at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (PPGA/UFRGS), Brazil. She is the Director of the Center for Studies and Research in Management (CEPA/UFRGS) and holds a Fellowship of Research Productivity granted by the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq). She is currently Visiting Professor at Aarhus University, MAPP Centre - Research on Value Creation in the Food Sector for Consumers, Industry and Society, where she was a former postdoctoral researcher.

Coordinates and collaborates in research projects financed by Brazilian and International organizations. Besides her academic experience in teaching (in Brazil, Denmark, France, Spain, Argentina, Germany), supervising students and coordinating courses at different levels (latu and stricto sensu), she has managerial experience and is linked to the food industry via consultancy projects and participation in food industry boards.
