Curriculum Vitae

My research covers areas such as youth studies, processes of exclusion and inclusion, critical race studies and racialization, gender studies, schooling and education, politics of intimacies. For my PhD dissertation titled “Not So Ordinary Friendship: Ethnography of Students Friendship Relations in a Racially Diverse Danish Classroom”, I carried an ethnographic research on young people’s friendship relations in Danish multicultural schools, where I particularly looked at how the processes of racialization figure in everyday friendship formation practices and how race and gender come to matter (or not) in these relationships. Currently, I am doing research exploring the ways that anti- racist education is implemented in Danish education institutions. Methodologically, I have experience in carrying ethnographic fieldwork, conducting qualitative interviews as well as discourse and framing analysis. Theoretically, I work with social practice theories, affect-sensory theories as well as intersectionality.
