Primary areas of interest are

  • Contemporary literature and cinema with a particular emphasis on contemporary French and francophone literature, cinema and thought.
  • Literary imprints of Danish slavery and colonialism.

Editor of the Danish literary journal Passage

In 2011 recipient of a elite postdoc scholarship from the Danish Council of Independent Research with the project The World in French - on translations and traces of memory in globalized francophone literature.

In 2010 PhD with the dissertation The French and the World: Post-global Perspectives on Contemporary French Literature that treats new French literature in light of globalization with emphasis on the place of literature in the changed economic and discursive circuits of a globalized world.
