Personal profile

Research

My research primarily focuses on spinal injuries resulting from traffic crashes, with a particular emphasis on neck injuries due to whiplash. I also have a strong interest in musculoskeletal conditions, especially the significance of bone mineral content in relation to bone strength, fractures, and their diagnostics. These areas are relevant to forensic investigations and are also of great importance in clinical practice.

Cooperation and dissemination

My collaborations extend internally within Aarhus University and Aarhus University Hospital, as well as to external groups and individuals depending on the ongoing projects, including North America and Australia.

Teaching

I have previously taught medical students at Aarhus University in health law, patient safety, traffic crashes, and injury pathology, and I have authored the chapter on traffic crashes in the medicial syllabus textbook published by FADL. I have also taught doctors in training for specialization in forensic medicine, particularly in traumatology and traffic crashes. I have supervised several research methodology projects (medical students) and provided guidance at PhD level.
