My research focuses on inner ear diseases, with a particular emphasis on vestibulogy and audiology. Through clinical studies and neuroimaging, I investigate, among other things, vestibular function and the primary vestibular cortex. The aim is to improve diagnostics and treatment to enhance the quality of life for patients with balance and hearing disorders.
I teach medical students and healthcare professionals in otorhinolaryngology, audiology, and vestibulogy at Aarhus University. As a postgraduate clinical lecturer at Aalborg University, I am responsible for the ENT specialist training programme in the Central and Northern Denmark Regions. I also contribute to textbooks and professional development.
I collaborate with both national and international researchers on projects within audiology, vestibulogy, and neuro-otology. I am currently working with the Danish Parkinson Centre on balance function in Parkinson’s disease. The aim is to develop new knowledge and improve the diagnosis and treatment of patients with balance and hearing disorders.
