In september 2022 she defended her PhD dissertation entitled: "Didactic architectures of student participation in clinical work – A multi-method study of patient-centred learning and practice architectures in student clinics". Louise is an experienced communication skills and peer supervision educator. She is also a member of the board of the Danish Society for Medical Education (2018-now). From 2011 to 2019 Louise was the program director of the courses in professionalism at the medical master’s program at AU. The overarching theme of her career has been development and learning, both as a project manager, developer, leader and researcher.

Louise has been the driving force in highly profiled development projects at AU, such as developing and implementing a 30 ECTS course in professionalism which runs through all six semesters of the medical master’s program, and the planning and implementation of an international semester at the medical master’s program.
