Personal profile

Profile

As a professor at the Department of Dentistry and Oral Health, I work with research and teaching in the field of Endodontics, which includes the diagnosis and treatment of inflammation in the tooth nerve (pulpitis) and the surrounding supporting tissue (apical periodontitis).

I am interested in the prevalence of disease, diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis related to endodontic diseases. I am a trained dentist, hold a PhD and a Dr. Odont degree in Endodontics, and have worked as a referral dentist in endodontics in private practice.

Job responsibilities

My primary responsibilities lie in research and education in Endodontics at the department, including supervising graduate projects and PhD projects. Additionally, I am active in continuing education for dentists. I have contributed to the development of teaching materials and guidelines, as well as written textbooks for dental professionals. I am a member of the editorial board for the Tandlægebladet (Danish Dental Journal), and I serve as a consultant for the primary sector. What drives me, both in research and teaching, is the desire to create improvements for patients and generate new knowledge for colleagues, both nationally and internationally.
