Personal profile

Research

I am doing my PhD in microbiology, where I am studying cable bacteria. I am using the genomic information available to study species-specific traits that might offer some insight into the distribution of species in different habitats.

Profile

I have done my BSc and MSc in Biology at Aarhus university with a focus on microbiology, molecular biology, and bioinformatics. Both my Bachelor thesis and my Master thesis were done at the Center for Electromicrobiology (CEM) studying the growth, morfology, and metabolism of cable bacteria. I have also spent ten months as a research assistant at CEM, where I focused on growing single strains of cable bacteria, sequencing their genomes with long-read sequencing, and working with pangenomes to understand their central metabolism.
