Supervisor for many M.Sc. projects and Ph.D. projects. External examiner at many M.Sc. and Ph.D. theses at the Universities of Copenhagen, Odense, and Aalborg, and at doctoral theses at the University of Lund and University of Umeå, Sweden. Ad hoc referee for many journals.

General protein chemistry: Concepts and methodology; integration of protein chemistry and nucleic acid sequencing methodologies; posttranslational modifications of proteins; protein evolution; analysis, structural and functional aspects of protein-bound carbohydrates; protein structure and folding; protein-protein interactions; assembly of macromolecular complexes; protein expression and mutational analysis; catalysis and physical biochemistry, including CD spectrometry and microcalorimetry.

Biological systems:

Proteolytically regulated plasma proteins (clotting, fibrinolysis, and complement systems); plasma proteinase inhibitors (serpins and alpha-macroglobulins) and their cellular receptors; pregnancy-associated plasma proteins.
