Research

I research the development of feminist literary and print cultures in the anglophone Caribbean region in the early and mid-20th century. My PhD project investigates the genre-specific development of sentimental literature emerging from women's journals and periodicals in the late colonial period.

Project title: “I am a woman / So I sing of Love”: Women’s Sentimental Counterpublics in Anglo-Caribbean Print and Literary Culture, 1920-1965
