Professor and senior consultant responsible for treatment and development of gastrointestinal cancer care. Works with liquid biopsies and ctDNA, leading clinical studies aiming to integrate ctDNA into the transformation of cancer treatment. Also focused on improving treatment of anal cancer and leads the international consortium IMACC.

Job responsibilities

Professor and senior consultant with clinical responsibility for gastrointestinal cancer. Supervises PhD students,medical students, research assistants, and postdocs. Former chair of the Scientific Committee of the Danish Cancer Society (KBVU). Leads the Danish Anal Cancer Group (DACG), and the IMACC consortium, the national clinical DCCC network for ctDNA-RECIST, and an international research program under ELBS focused on implementing ctDNA-based response criteria.
