My research focusses on animal behaviour, stress biology and welfare, particularly in equids. Key research topics include housing and management, also of extensively kept equids; handling and training; conflict and stress-related behaviour in ridden horses. Another key topic is human-animal interactions and how such interactions affect the behaviour and welfare of both animal and human.
