Julie research interests centers around actuarial science, particularly insurance mathematics. Her research includes optimal premium selection and premium competition on insurance markets, the product design of insurance products, and dynamical learning of insurance risks via experience rating using tools such as stochastic control, game theory and Bayesian statistics.
