Personal profile

Research

I am a postdoctoral fellow at Aarhus University School of Culture and Society, where I join a team of scholars who investigate "the social life of cryptocurrency." This project explores how cryptocurrencies have become part of the everyday informal economic practices in countries in marginalized countries, particularly the way crypto infiltrates the country’s financial and technological power. It asks what problems cryptocurrency solves for participants in these informal economies. It also explores the social practices around them, providing an understanding of the daily economic life, the social networks they weave, and the intermediaries present in this untraditional financial landscape.
