John Bang Mathiasen holds a PhD in concurrent engineering, with a focus on manufacturability in geographically dispersed development and manufacturing setups. Currently, his research primarily revolves around operations management and transdisciplinary engineering, particularly the digital transformation of manufacturing shop floors. The research is transdisciplinary intervention-based studies and focuses on the bidirectional interaction between engineers and artefacts when designing digital solutions, new products, manufacturing facilities and/or supply chains.
