Research

My research mainly focusses on CO2 converting microorganisms, which can be used to upgrade CO2 into valuable products. In addition, I am also interested in microbial corrosion. Overall, my research goal is to contribute to the optimization of microbial biotechnologies, by generating fundamental insights into relevant microbial processes.  My group uses both experimental studies and mathematic modelling.
