Personal profile

Research

I work with dental-dedicated MRI (ddMRI) with a special focus on clinical applications. Through clinical trials, my goal is to investigate ddMRI as a possible future tool for dentists and what indications it can be used for. My research contributes to improving diagnostics for dental patients with smaller amounts of harmful radiation in the future.

Profile

As a postdoc, I work with research and teaching in oral radiology. In my work, I am particularly interested in dental-dedicated magnetic resonance (ddMRI) and how we can use it in dentistry in the future. I am a trained dentist and have a PhD degree in dentistry. I have previously worked in the clinic, primarily in child and adolescent dentistry.

Commissioned

Board member of the Danish Dental Association's Research Foundation and member of the Central Board of the European Academy of DentoMaxilloFacial Radiology.

Teaching

I teach Oral Radiology on the Bachelor's degree programme in Dentistry. By combining lectures with exercises and practical clinical teaching, my goal is to help dental students to gain a solid understanding of the use of radiographs in connection with patient treatments and become able to assess the need for and perform relevant imaging.

Job responsibilities

My primary area of responsibility is clinical research in ddMRI and education of dental students. I also conduct postgraduate courses for dentists, dental hygienists and dental assistants.
