- Animal welfare, behaviour and stress biology
- Correlations between baseline stress, fearfulness and learning ability in horses
- Early maternal influence on foal development and sensitivity to stressors
- Domestication and social behaviour in equids
- Effects of training methods on horse welfare
- Human-animal interactions
- Use of animals for therapy, e.g. visitor dogs in elderly centres and riding therapy
