Research

Research interests include media history, web historiography, web archaeology, web archiving, web tracking and issues related to privacy and consent online. Recent research projects have focused on comparisons between web archives and their holdings, large-scale historical studies of national web domains,  and mixed-method studies of web tracking.

Cooperation and dissemination

On the board of the Centre for Internet Studies (AU), and a member of The Centre for Digital Methods and Media (AU) and the Center for Digital History Aarhus (AU).

Participated in the international networks WARCnet (Web ARChive studies network researching web domains and events) and RESAW (a Research Infrastructure for the Study of Archived Web Materials).

Previously head of LARM.fm and a part of Netlab, both parts of the national research infrastructure DIGHUMLAB (Digital Humanities Lab).
