Helle Terkildsen Maindal, MPH, PhD is a professor in health promotion and intervention research related to people at risk of diabetes, cardiovascular disease, obesity and physical inactivity. Equity in health, organisational health literacy, systems perspective and unintended effects (stigma) are central. The research has a life-course perspective, is interdisciplinary/cross-sectoral and takes place within settings where families live, e.g. civil society, municipal units and general practice.
