Research
Efter en periode med fokus på transnational europæisk historie i 1800-tallet, har mit forskningfokus de senere år været Damark. I 2023 publicerede jeg bogen Trykkefrihed, nationalitet og politik i dansk guldalder, som blev nomineret til året historiske bog. Jeg har lige færdiggjort en bog med titlen Kongen og grevinden, som handler om Frederik 7., grevinde Danner og Carl Berling og følelsernes politik. Næste projekt bærer titlen Historiske Undersøgelser – en bog om historieforskningens teori og praksis.
Teaching
Jeg er lektor i historievidenskabens teori, metode og historie. Jeg underviser gerne og meget, især i 1800-tallets historie i Danmark og Europa, historiefagets videnskabsteori og i kildekritik.
