Henrik Nitschke

Research Consultant

Henrik has since October 2008 hold the position of Head of Secretariat at the newly formed Department of Learning at the Danish School of Education, University of Aarhus. The Department of Learning was established August 2008 as a merger between the former Department of Educational Psychology and Learning Lab Denmark.

Henrik came to Learning Lab Denmark (LLD) in July 2001 and held through 2004 the position of consortium director within the Workplace Learning Consortium. After the closure of this project Henrik became:

  • The Research Programme of Competence Development in a Lifelong Perspective, DPU
  • The Research Unit of Learning, Knowing, and Organising (LKO), Learning Lab Denmark

Education: BA in the History of Ideas from University of Aarhus, Denmark

Before Henrik came to LLD he used to work as an independent consultant within the areas of networks and organisational learning, coaching/mentoring, entrepreneurship, and innovation - the same issues as he dealt with during his four years as coach/team manager and later on Head of Study at the KaosPilots, a three years programme on entrepreneurship and leadership with a special focus on innovation and process facilitation.

Furthermore Henrik has been a teacher and head of the Alpine Ski Department at Oure Sport High School, hotel manager in France, coach and technical trainer for the Danish National Alpine Ski Team, author of a teaching book on alpine skiing, café manager in Aarhus and board member of the cultural society "Swung".
