Profile
My research is focussed on improving the quality of the cereal plant and seed. Using biotechnology and molecular biology I work on:
1. Improving the cereal plant for better utilization of seed phosphorus and minerals in feed and food.
2. Unravelling the full enzyme potentials of cereal grains in order to ensure an optimal utilization in food and feed.
3. Developing transgenic wheat where the straw can be used for second generation bioethanol production.
