Research

My main research profile is executive-legislative related themes, especially parliamentary oversight (accountability) in parliamentary systems. In my research I have focused on political elite incentives, political parties, different parliamentary roles, parliamentary oversight and scrutiny options, accountability mechanisms in general, and parliamentary institutional designs. Additional research agendas are partly independent territories and self-government systems and related to this the North Atlantic and Arctic regions. Moreover, I have focused on international parliamentary diplomacy types of activity, and foreign affairs committees. Overall, this research agenda relates to general themes within comparative politics, institutions, public administration as well as public and foreign policy.
