Haitham Abu-Ghaida


Haitham AbuGhaida is an architect and civil engineer. he is a Research Assistant of Architecture and Civil Engineering at the Department of Engineering, Aarhus University, Denmark. His research aims to explore and deal with the complexity of sustainability assessments (LCA, LCC and SLCA) for construction projects utilizing technologies such as BIM to automate such complex assessments. You can read more about his research in the "Holistic Building Design" research pillar here.

Haitham is also working in the Mechanical and Production Engineering Department's LifeCycle Design and Manufacturing. He has worked on the ØkoEngineer project that focuses on the integration of sustainable development education for Master's level engineering students. The ØkoEngineer platform combines fundamental engineering design concepts and sustainability parameters, it uses elements from project based learning, guided based discovery, peer learning and gamification.
