Personal profile
Research
My role in the section of Crop Genetics and Biotechnology at Flakkebjerg, Department of Agroecology of Aarhus University is both primary research and business company relationship as senior advisor. My research area of expertise covers plant molecular biology, plant and microbial biochemistry, proteomics and metabolomics by Mass Spectroscopy and New Genomic Technologies (NGT, e. g. CRISPR/Cas9). Carrot glycoengineering is the latest project approved by NNF Pioneer Innovator grant (1-2022) to GD.
Cooperation and dissemination
The range of my collaboration includes Novozymes, Chr. Hansen (now Novonesis), Oterra, Carlsberg, Aalborg University, Sejet Plant Breeding, Copenhagen University, University of East Anglia, Norwich UK, Leibniz Institut, Munich Technical University, Freising, Germany and University of Catania, Italy).
Teaching
As one of the teachers at Aarhus University (Flakkebjerg Campus, Dept. of Molecular Biology, and section of Crop Biotechnology), I have been teaching at PhD Summer School level for several years (Hands on plant science and biotechnology, 5 ECTS): from 2015 to date.
I have been appointed general chemistry and biology teacher at the E24 bachelor and master courses that will be held in Viborg starting in September 2024.
