Giovanni Pellegrino is an Associate Professor at the Department of Economics and Business Economics of Aarhus University since September 2018. From August 2016 to July 2018 he was a Post-doctoral Research Fellow in the Macroeconomics Research Program of the Melbourne Institute of Applied Economic and Social Research at the University of Melbourne.

Giovanni completed his doctoral studies in Economics at the University of Verona in March 2016 and during his PhD studies he visited the Einaudi Institute of Economics and Finance in Rome, the Queen Mary University of London and the University of Bonn.

Giovanni's current research focuses on the role of nonlinearities for the transmission of structural shocks and the empirical validation of DSGE models.
