Personal profile

Research

My field of expertise is Arctic seabird ecology, population dynamics, and behavioral ecology. I have extensive experience with monitoring techniques, remote tracking of animal movements, quantification of seabird populations, and local community involvement. I focus on documenting population trends of important seabirds and contributing to the understanding of how population dynamics are affected by the physical and biological environment, as well as the impact of human activities.

Commissioned

Through my affiliation with the Greenland Institute of Natural Resources, I serve as the principal advisor to the Greenland Self-Rule government on seabird matters. I am also responsible for conducting the research and monitoring activities needed to provide the scientific basis for the sustainable harvest of seabirds in Greenland.
