Personal profile

Research

My main research interests are the mapping and monitoring of biodiversity, as these processes are fundamental to effective nature conservation and restoration efforts. I have investigated environmental DNA (eDNA) as a supplement to traditional monitoring methods, and as a tool for basic research on population genetics and ecology. My most recent interest is taxonomy-independent bioassessment, where any eDNA sequence can potentially be used as an indicator of ecosystem health.
