Profile

I am a specialist in pediatrics, pediatric endocrinology and a clinical lecturer with a PhD in Clinical Medicine. My research focuses on growth, puberty, obesity and metabolism in children and adolescents. I am based at a university-affiliated pediatric department where I combine clinical work with research and teaching.

I have extensive experience in both basic and clinical research and have conducted interventional studies in both children and adults, including hormone infusion protocols and advanced metabolic phenotyping. My PhD thesis investigated the metabolic effects of ghrelin in healthy individuals and patients with hypopituitarism. Since then, I have continued this line of research through collaborations with national and international research groups.

I currently supervise PhD and research year students, and I have established strong collaborations with clinical departments, laboratories, and biostatisticians. I also have experience in leading research projects and securing external funding.

My ambition is to advance our understanding of hormonal regulation of growth and metabolism in childhood, thereby contributing to improved diagnostics and treatment for children with endocrine disorders.
