Profile

Erik R. Larsen is Professor of Management in the Department of Management, Arhus University, Denmark. He is also honorary Professor at the Facultad de Minas, Universidad Nacional de Colombia (Medellin). He was previously Professor of Management at University of Lugano (Switzerland), and before that Professor of Management at Cass Business School (London). He started his academic career as a post-doc at London Business School and EU-Marie Curie Fellow at University of Bologna. He received his PhD in Economics from Copenhagen Business School and a MSc in Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark.

 

Research

Erik’s research covers the areas of organizational theory, operations and energy markets. He has published in journals within in these areas, including Academy of Management Journal, Organizational Science, Journal of Management, Management Science, European Journal of Operational Research, Omega, Energy Policy, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, and Energy Economics.  The Swiss National Science Foundation, The Danish Independent Research Council and the EU have funded his research. He has been teaching and consulting for universities, companies and governments in Europe, North and South America, and Africa
