My primary research areas are drying techniques and techniques for harvesting and application of energy crops and non-food crops. The work concerning drying techniques include research into and development of existing and new techniques for grain and seed crop drying as well as testing of drying plants. My achievements within the field of energy crops have been concentrated on the development of techniques and methods of harvesting and of storage systems.

Other activities are technical investigations on combustion of energy crops in farm heating plants. Up to now, my research efforts have mainly been concentrated on harvesting and application of Miscanthus (elephant grass).
