Personal profile

Research

I am specialized in performing arts aesthetics and cultural memory studies. My current interests focus, on one hand, on exploring and fostering the relationship between activism and academic institutions in Latin American and Europe, strengthening a cooperation between both regions that is mutually beneficial, and, on the other hand, on delving into research-creation, applied arts and community building methodologies for the societal transformation.

Cooperation and dissemination

I have extensive experience in working in international research groups and conducting transdisciplinary research. Currently I am work package leader in the EU-research project Transforming Migration through the ARTS (TransMigrARTS), member of the international research group PERFORMA - Theatre Outside Theatre. Contemporary Performativity in the Digital Era, leader of Latin American AU research center and co-coordinator of AU research unit Postcolonial Entanglements.

Teaching

I hold a Lic. in Hispanic Philology, with special distinction (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona) and a PhD in Performing Arts, with Cum Laude distinction (Institut del Teatre de la Diputació de Barcelona & Universitat Autònoma Barcelona).
