My research focuses on coupled human and natural systems and sustainable systems analysis including energy policy; waste management; pollution and natural resources embodied in international trade. My main expertise concerns the complex interactions of agriculture/livestock sector with climate change and global ecology. I have contributed to the assessment of the:

• Multiple environmental impacts of livestock and agricultural sectors
• Multiple environmental impacts of food/diet
• International traded resources dynamics 
• Greenhouse gas mitigation policies 
• Sustainability assessment at different levels of analysis 

My research network is international with collaboration in so many areas of the world also supported by supervision and co-supervision of PhD and Master students.

I am Co-Leader of the Strategic Reserach Area (SGA): Resource Flows in a Circular Economy.

I am member of the Advances in Cleaner Production Network. 

I am member of EcoQuadro Think Tank
