Daniella is currently a Ph.D. student at Aarhus University in Denmark, working on improving configuration and integration of robot systems. She has a B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering and a M.Sc. in Computer Engineering. She did a semester abroad during her masters at KU Leuven in Belgium, where she learnt more about robotics and automation.
Her current research entails:
- automating the process of configuring robot systems, i.e. determining which combination of devices are compatible and fulfill the requirements of an application
- improving the methods of robot visualisation, and visualising robot systems performing different applications
- creating digital twins of robot systems
- discovering challenges in the robotics industry related to integration into manufacturing lines
She has a number of interests: robotics, simulation, manufacturing, control, computer vision, machine learning, standards, safety.
Other than her research interests, she is interested in teaching and supervising students and spends a considerable amount of her time on such activities.
