Personal profile
Research
My primary research area focuses on chronic inflammatory skin diseases, investigating the underlying molecular mechanisms driving these disorders. My work is highly translational, involving close collaboration with the clinical department to ensure rapid implementation of findings into patient-centered solutions. The goal is to identify new therapeutic targets that can lead to improved treatments for patients with inflammatory skin diseases.
Profile
Head of the research laboratory in the Dept. of Dermatology and Venereology.
Graduated as a molecular biologist from Aarhus University in 1999. Earned a PhD degree from Aarhus University (AU) in 2003, and a Doctor of Medical Science degree also from AU in 2010. From 2010 to 2023, I worked as an associate professor in the Department of Dermatology at the Department of Clinical Medicine, AU, before being appointed as a professor of Molecular Dermatology in 2023.
My research focuses on the molecular mechanisms driving inflammatory skin diseases.
